3 generations for 50 years

We are a family of three generations who have been practising viticulture and winemaking for 50 years. Our estate is located in the Posavje wine-growing region, within the Bizeljsko–Sremič wine district. We grow grapes on the best winegrowing slopes of Kozja peč in Orešje. Our vineyards are situated at an elevation of 250–300 metres. Because we care deeply about nature and are aware that it has long been overburdened with chemical products, we decided more than twenty years ago to transition to nature-friendly viticulture. Shortly afterwards, we completely abandoned the use of herbicides and pesticides, and in 2015 we became pioneers of organic viticulture in this region. In 2018, we received our first certificate for organic grapes and organic wine.

We are connected to the grapevine from pruning to harvest and carry out most of the work ourselves, as we firmly believe in the synergy between the winegrower, winemaker and the vine. The happiest event of the year for a winegrower – the harvest – is carried out with the help of our friends. We carefully hand-pick our grapes and, with a great deal of positive energy, transform them into wine in our own wine cellar. They say we produce joyful wine, as it brings happiness to those who drink it. Lovers of our wines also like to say that they do not experience headaches after enjoying them. For groups booked in advance, we are happy to prepare wine tastings in our cellar, and for good company – to justify the other part of our title – we also sing and play music.
